About the Heritage Lottery Fund
The HLF enables communities to celebrate, look after and learn more about our diverse heritage. We fund the entire spread of heritage – including buildings, museums, natural heritage and the heritage of cultural traditions and language. Since 1994 HLF has awarded over £4.3 billion to more than 28,800 projects across the UK.

Register of Support Services - Welsh Procurement
In 2008, the fund undertook two procurements to form a register of support services which covered the following areas:
-
Lead Monitors – monitoring the delivery of a project funded by HLF
-
Associate Monitors – assisting in monitoring specialist aspects of the delivery of a project
-
Expert Advisors – providing specialist advice on applications for funding
-
Mentors – assisting applicants in the further development of an application
We now require heritage specialists who are fluent in Welsh (written and spoken) to operate alongside this register and deliver these services where the project requires them to be in Welsh or bi-lingual (Welsh and English).
